Welcome to the Nevada County Democratic Women's Club!

Senator Barbara Boxer is running for a fourth term in the United States Senate.  We applaud Barbara for her courage, especially in voting against the Iraq War in 2002.  Barbara upholds liberal, progressive principles in her voting and introducing of new bills.

Monthly Meeting

On Saturday, August 7th, Greg Zaller founder of Little World Community Organization will speak to us of his many experiences in helping the people of Pakistan since the earthquake of 2005, which killed tens of thousands of Pakistanis.

LWCO empowers Pakistani village mothers and families to end poverty themselves by helping  each other, their families, and whereever they can. They often learn to read and write in only a year. Inspiration drives LWCO. They have learned to make beautiful handmade embroidered cards and other crafts to sell and use the funds to pay their teacher and also open new schools in other areas. LWCO empowers women to insert their femininity and hope into a country wracked by war and despair. LWCO is governed by the collective empathetic voice of those it helps.
