Christina Billeci

PRESS RELEASE

CHRISTINA BILLECI

ENDORSED BY NEVADA COUNTY DEMOCRATIC WOMEN’S CLUB

FOR

CALIFORNIA STATE ASSEMBLY

The Nevada County Democratic Women’s Club is proud to announce our endorsement of Christina Billeci for California State Assembly, District 3.

Christina has followed her passions in both career, and elected public office.  During her 31-year career as Yuba County Public Guardian she helped protect the interests of the elderly, disabled and mentally ill.  She has served three terms as councilwoman for the City of Marysville and is currently serving as Vice-Mayor.

During her time as Councilwoman, Christina has seen, first hand, the effects of failed government policies on businesses, workers, young people, seniors, the disabled and on the very skeleton of California – our infrastructure.

While it’s easy to be mired in the problems, Christina can see the opportunities.  The financial failures of 2008 exposed many of the flaws in the relationship between government and big business.  Christina is ready to engage in new conversations about education, energy, tax and government reform, and repairing and rebuilding the States ailing infrastructure.  A thoughtful debate leading to creative solutions to these issues will lead not only to the creation of badly-needed jobs in District 3, and across the State but also to the reemergence of the California of unlimited promise.

Christina Billeci is the right person at the right time. Her entire life has led her to this place, and now it is up t us to help her in her campaign for the Assembly.

We are proud to endorse Christina Billeci, and we hope that District 3 Democrats and others who want a change in the legislative status quo will want to help in her campaign.  Her success is our success.
